She’s everybody’s favourite royal. Well, ours anyway. Yes, we’re talking about Duchess Kate Middleton.
Why do we like her so much? Well, there’s a few reasons really. She seems kind of sweet and genuinely friendly. She always, without fail, takes the trouble to bend down when she’s talking to kids. You know, so she can talk to them eye to eye – and she doesn’t just talk to them – she listens.
She touches people affectionately, a brush of the hand, a squeeze of the arm. Kate also re-wears her outfits and regularly too, plus she buys the majority of them from high street chain stores just like the rest of us. We think that’s pretty damn impressive because she’s absolutely not like the rest of us.
She has access to BIG bucks and yet she clearly delights in a bargain and she’s the same when it comes to beauty too.
She’s been open about her commitment to using Trilogy Rosehip Oil which pleases us firstly because it’s local, and secondly, it’s completely natural. And, most importantly, it’s pretty inexpensive at just $42.95.
Then there’s her makeup choices, which are also straight from the local beauty store and within reach of most of us. For example, she’s a big fan of Urban Decay Naked Original Naked Palette – a palette of classic shades ranging from cream, tawny brown through to rich chocolate. According to Allure, she finishes off her look with Lancome’s Hypnose Mascara in black. Another choice we approve of 100 per cent.
She’s said to love a touch of Bobbi Brown’s Shimmer Brick Compact in Bronze (well, who doesn’t?) and the professional makeup artist fave – Yves Saint Laurent’s Touche Eclat concealer/highlighter. The same Allure report suggested that Kate highlights that pretty mouth of her with a touch of Bobbi Brown’s Creamy Matte Lip Color in Sandwash Pink, along with a layer of her sheer gloss.
So now, if you fancy, you can reproduce the Duchess’s perfectly regal beauty look.
