Dry Shampoo Is The Best Invention Ever And This Is Why

If you haven’t already acquainted yourself with dry shampoo then it’s time you did and here’s why. The stuff is straight-up genius. Firstly, it means you can skip a wash and hair will still look bouncy and fresh.

Even better, it provides excellent texture making styling more simple and for those who have limp, fine hair, it’s a godsend because it provides serious volume.

But, (there’s always a but right?), those effects are only gained when you use the stuff correctly. So here’s a quick how-to guide for you all.

Segment hair into six to eight sections, depending on how much you’ve got. Hold a section in your hand and lift it at the roots. Spray a little (A LITTLE) dry shampoo at the roots and lightly massage in.

Move to the next section and repeat. And that’s it! Do not spray all over your head like hair spray – it doesn’t work like that.

The idea behind dry shampoo is that it absorbs oil and dirt to make hair appear clean. And where does oil and dirt tend to be? At the roots.

Gradually introduce dry shampoo into your routine and you can begin to cut back on washing. This is terrific because the less washing, the less damage, says Aleks Abadia at Esstudio Galeria and also, your colour will last longer. Bonus!
