Do This And Solve Your Skin Problems ASAP – Yep, It’s THAT Simple

Here’s the deal.

If you want skincare that’s effective you don’t need to choose the most expensive or newest product out there. Nor do you need to opt for the one that your BFF is getting such great results with.

What you do need, however, is skincare products that are designed for YOU. And the easiest way to make that happen is to get a personal skincare recommendation from a skincare professional.

You can find one of those at your local dermatology office, your favourite skin clinic/salon where qualified therapists are employed, or at the counter of the department store or pharmacy line you favour.

Why go to the trouble of getting advice from a professional? Well, we’ll let Jenny Millar, Brand Manager for the line BABOR answer that one.

“Firstly, a skincare professional assessment and thorough skin analysis,” says Jenny.

“This will identify skin concerns and needs.”

Which, says Jenny, may not be what you think they are. Apparently, it’s highly common for women to think they have a specific skin concern (say oiliness for example) when in fact the main issue is entirely different (perhaps rosacea).

“Often the cause of what they see as their problem is due to a different issue, hence the need to have this identified by a professional,” explains Jenny.

“The scope of skincare needs is so varied and can often be a combination of concerns, like dehydration, oiliness, anti-ageing, acne, broken capillaries, loss of elasticity and the list goes on. When you are faced with varying concerns, a one-size-fits all approach is not suitable and you really need professional and bespoke support to generate results.”

There is also currently a trend for product customisation, with dual functionality being delivered – in layman’s terms, skincare products that do more than just one job.

“As women become more savvy they are demanding more customised, high performing products,” says Jenny.

Damn straight we are. So how to get those personalised skincare products that really will give us our best skin ever?

First step, a professional diagnosis, says Jenny.

“This will ensure that your customised regime and or products are best suited to you,” she confirms.

“The process normally involves a thorough examination, a treatment and product prescription for at home use.”

The best part about all of that? You will see results. Some clinics even offer sophisticated diagnostic and scanning equipment that confirm that with before and after pictures and who doesn’t love a little proof?

Of course, it’s up to you where you get your skincare advice, tips and tricks. But our advice (and Jenny’s too) aim for someone who has a qualification in the field.

“It’s always advised to visit a therapist that is reputable and has the professional knowledge and credentials to back up her claims,” says Jenny.
