You’re a grownup so you likely already know a lot about skin care. You’re aware you need to follow a reasonably dedicated regime if you want your complexion to really look its best.
And you know that means thorough cleansing both morning and night, a serum targeted to treat your skin concerns, eye cream, a moisturiser with a high level SPF during the day plus a moisturiser rich with antioxidants and other powerful active ingredients at night time.
Did you know though that even the best of skincare habits won’t make your skin glow if you don’t have your stress levels under control? Unfortunately that’s the truth. Hopefully this little nugget didn’t make you feel more stressed! If it did, take a deep breath and let the worry go.
The fact of the matter is while you can’t completely remove stress, you can reduce it dramatically and all it takes is a few simple streps.
Taking a few minutes each morning and each night to introduce a mindfulness practise is a brilliant way to ease the pressure. If you’re not doing that already get started by doing the following.
Focus on your breathing for a moment. Then, inhale to the count of four, hold to the count of four, then exhale to the count of four. Repeat the process adding a second to each exhalation until you reach a count of eight. Continue for at least five minutes.
Did you try it already? If yes, you no doubt feel better. If not, do it when you can. Your body will thank you for it and you know what that means? Dewier, more relaxed, lovely-looking skin.
